THE SKINNY STORY
Gettysburg, ranked 11th in the latest IWLCA Div. III poll, went on a 7-1 run in the second quarter to open up a 9-3 halftime lead en route to a 16-5 victory over Catholic.
THE LEADERS

Maddie Passarello (West Chester, Pa./Unionville) reached 100 points in her career with four goals and two assists to lead the Bullets.
•
Riley d'Entremont (Bryn Mawr, Pa./Radnor) matched her with six points on four goals and two assists.
•
Nina Marra (Ridgewood, N.J./Ridgewood) rounded out a trio of players with four goal, matching her career high with four second-quarter markers.

THE REST OF THE STORY
• Henley Bredemann opened the scoring just over six minutes into the game before
Riley d'Entremont responded with an advantage goal 70 seconds later to tie the game. The duo traded goals once again in the quarter to keep it tied at 2-all after one.
• Three straight
Nina Marra goals – all from
Julia Daly (McLean, Va./Langley) – in the opening 3:40 of the second quarter opened up a 5-2 lead for Gettysburg. Bredemann capped her hat trick with 9:20 to play before the Bullets tallied four straight unassisted goals – the last three of which were with a player advantage to take a 9-3 lead to the break.
Maddie Passarello scored with 4:13 to play before
Riley Kenrick (Verona, N.J./Verona) got in the scoring column with 3:06 on the clock to force a timeout. Marra added her fourth with 2:12 on the clock and Daly netted her first goal in the final nine seconds.
• Izzy Fiore found Ellie Verrill for her second helper of the day with 13:35 showing in the third quarter before Daly finished a feed from d'Entremont nearly three minutes later. Fiore added a goal and Passarrello finished off another d'Entremont pass to make it 11-5.
• Passarello had a hand in four of the five fourth-quarter goals to reach 101 points for her career. She netted an unassisted tally with 10:43 to play before
Michaela Kelly (Chatham, N.J./Chatham) connected with Daly on the doorstep in transition with 8:29 on the clock. Passrello hit d'Entremont, who finished high to make it 14-5 midway through the quarter. A Daly-to-Passarello connection with 6:16 showing reached the 10-goal margin for the second straight day. In the final 30 seconds, d'Entremont returned the favor from Passarello to set the final margin.
THE INSIDE STORY
• Gettysburg finished with a 33-11 advantage in shots.

Grace Battle (Lynchburg, Va./Virginia Episcopal School) and
Ally Kennedy (Chester Springs, Pa./Downingtown East) contributed five and four draw controls, respectively, as part of a 12-10 edge on the circle.

Lauren Bloch (Westfield, N.J./Westfield) led the defense with two caused turnovers and three ground balls.
•
Julia Daly finished with seven points on three goals and four assists.
