THE SKINNY STORY
Gettysburg, ranked 11th in the latest IWLCA Div. III poll, recorded its first shutout since 2017 and got at least one point from 14 different players to record a 17-0 win at McDaniel.
THE LEADERS

Caroline Lamanna (Potomac, Md./St. John's College) led a balanced effort for the Bullets defense with two caused turnovers and a ground ball.

Marin McGuire (Summit, N.J./Summit) and
Elizabeth Tydings (North Bethesda, Md./Culver Military Academy [Ind.]) combined for the shutout in goal, combining for five saves.

• Kat Thayer led the Green Terror with seven ground balls and four caused turnovers.

Nina Marra (Ridgewood, N.J./Ridgewood) finished a pass from
Riley d'Entremont (Bryn Mawr, Pa./Radnor) just 67 seconds into the game to cap the opening possession of the game.
Sarah Scollin (Orefield, Pa./Springside Chestnut Hill Academy) found
Maddie Passarello (West Chester, Pa./Unionville) just over three minutes later before d'Entemont hit Scollin for her second assist of the day and a 3-0 lead with 9:25 to play.
Michaela Kelly (Chatham, N.J./Chatham) hit a cutting
Julia Daly (McLean, Va./Langley) to record her 100th career point with 5:06 to play. The Bullets stretched the lead to 7-0 after one when d'Entremont found
Riley Kenrick (Verona, N.J./Verona) and Marra twice in the final 3:41.

Meghan Crane (Montclair, N.J./Montclair) and
Kate Evans (Severna Park, Md./Severna Park) scored in the second quarter for a 9-0 lead.
• A Daly solo run made it running clock in the opening minute of the third quarter before she found Passarello twice around a Kelly unassisted tally for a 13-0 lead.
Maddy Sweeney (West Hartford, Conn./Conard) tallied her first point of the season when Passarello converted her pass with 26 seconds showing.

Katie Westmoreland (Abington, Md./Mt. St. Joseph Academy) goal and two
Molly Bryson (Baldwin, Md./Notre Dame Prep)-to-
Delaney Nolan (Allentown, N.J./Allentown) connections in the final 7:12 set the final margin of victory.
THE INSIDE STORY
• Gettysburg finished with a 42-12 advantage in shots.

Grace Battle (Lynchburg, Va./Virginia Episcopal School) pulled down 10 draw controls to go with two ground balls and a caused turnover. As a team, the Bullets had a 14-4 advantage in the circle.
•
Riley d'Entremont dished out five assists for a team-high five points.
•
Maddie Passarello finished with four goals while
Nina Marra added three.
Julia Daly had four points on two goals and two assists.
• The shutout was Gettysburg's first since an 18-0 win over Swarthmore on Apr. 8, 2017. It was the first road shutout since an 18-0 win at Bryn Mawr on Apr. 27, 2013.
• With the win, the Bullets secured a top-three seed in the conference tournament and receive a first-round bye. Seeding will be finalized with the six remaining games on the conference schedule.
