THE LEADERS
•
Renee Laczkowski (Erie, Colo./Erie) led the Bullets with three hits, including a double and home run, to go with three runs scored and two RBIs.
•

FOR THE FOES
• Fallon Feaser led the Falcons with two hits and three RBIs.
• Rebekah Wiley also added two hits and three RBIs.
THE REST OF THE STORY
•
Audrey Bergan (Cardiff-by-the-Sea, Calif./La Jolla Country Day School) led off the game with a walk before
Lauren Bickler (Sussex, Wis./Hamilton) followed with a single up the middle. After a fielder's choice put runners at the corners,
Anika Pelekis singled home Bergan for a 1-0 lead. A single and an error pushed the lead to 3-0 before a
Lily Mader (Las Vegas, Nev./Valley) single scored
Abby Todd (Roebling, N.J./Northern Burlington County Regional) for a 4-0 lead.
• With two outs in the bottom of the first, Fallon Feaser singled and Allie Brook walked. After a Rebekah Wiley RBI single, an error closed the margin to 4-2.
•
Zoe Brennan (Arlington, Va./Yorktown) and
Jamie Shaw (Mount Airy, Md./Glenelg) both singled to lead off the second. Bergan followed with a single to score both before a
Renee Laczkowski one-out, two-run home run made it 8-2.
• An infield single, walk and Brielle Rosario double made it 8-3 in the bottom of the frame. An RBI groundout and error closed the margin to 8-5 two batters later.
• Messiah took the lead in the bottom of the fourth. An infield single off the bag, fielding error and bunt single loaded the bases. Another infield knock made it 8-6 before a fielder's choice cut down the run at the plate for the first out. A two-run single back up the middle from Feaser tied the game before a rundown play scored the go-ahead run.
• Doubles from Laczkowski and Pelekis to nearly the exact same spots tied the game at 9-all two batters into the fourth. With two outs,
Morgan DeFreitas (Coatesville, Pa./Downingtown West) singled up the middle to score Pelekis. A Brennan RBI single plated pinch-runner
Siara Gonzalez (Bethlehem, Pa./Freedom) from second for an 11-9 edge.
• A one-out Lucy Murphy single and two-out Book double made it 11-10 in the bottom of the fifth before a two-run Wiley home run turned the one-run deficit into a one-run lead.
• DeFreitas singled with one out in the sixth before giving way to pinch-runner
Kate Buckley (Springfield, N.J./Jonathan Dayton), who moved up 60 feed on a groundout. Shaw followed with an RBI single up the middle to tie the game at 12-all. After Bergan beat out an infield single to the right side,
Emily Bakker (Hawthorne, N.J./Hawthorne) poked a single up the middle to score Shaw and make it 13-12.
