THE SKINNY STORY
Franklin & Marshall plated two runs in the fifth inning to break a scoreless tie and defeat Gettysburg 4-1 to earn a season split.
THE LEADERS

Brendan Laqui (Randolph, N.J./Randolph) went 1-for-3 to lead the Bullets.
FOR THE FOES
• Nick DiGiacomo went 2-for-3 with two RBIs to pace the Diplomats.
• David McGeorge threw 7 2/3 innings scoreless, allowing one hit and striking out seven.
THE REST OF THE STORY
• An error and Nick DiGiacomo two-run home run to center field on the first pitch he saw broke the scoreless deadlock in the fifth.
• Owen Woodward led off the eighth with a single before a sacrifice and Landon Hallett double down the line made it 3-0. A two-out double from Tanner Wolpert extended the lead to 4-0.

Jack Amirata (Montclair, N.J./Montclair Kimberley Academy) worked a walk to lead off the ninth before a one-out hit by pitch and throwing error allowed Amirata to score and avoid the shutout.
THE INSIDE STORY
• Gettysburg can assure itself a spot in the Centennial Conference tournament with a sweep in the regular-season finale with Washington (Md.) on Sunday.

Alex Wilkie-Viscio (Plymouth Meeting, Pa./Plymouth Whitemarsh) struck out seven with no walks.
