THE SKINNY STORY

THE LEADERS
•
Robert Murphy (Berkeley Heights, N.J./Gov. Livingston) led the Bullets with two hits.
FOR THE FOES
• Isaac Gesford had two hits and two RBIs to lead the fourth-seeded Bears, who advanced to the double-elimination portion of the tournament and will play at top-seeded Johns Hopkins on Thursday.
THE REST OF THE STORY
• With one out in the top of the first,
Mike Coleman (Drexel Hill, Pa./Monsignor Bonner) tripled to the gap before scoring on a
Jack Amirata (Montclair, N.J./Montclair Kimberley Academy) single to stake Gettysburg to an early 1-0 lead but – with two on – Ursinus induced a double play to get out of the inning.
• In the home third, Devin Fogg doubled down the line with one out before a Brandon Sullivan triple tied the game at 1-all. Matthew Callahan followed with an RBI single to put the hosts in front. After a walk and groundout, an Isaac Gesford single coupled with an error gave the Bears a 4-1 lead.
• A
Henry Smith (Carlisle, Pa./Carlisle Area) one-out double, bunt single and Coleman sacrifice fly closed the deficit to 4-2 in the fifth.
