GETTYSBURG, Pa. – Four members of the Gettysburg men's swimming team were named to the Division III Academic All-District men's swimming team, selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC) recently.
Academic All-District honorees are considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced on Apr. 29.
The following Bullets men's swimmers were honored as part of the program:
- Sophomore Griffin Koester (Purcellville, Va./Woodgrove), a finance major
- Junior Rudy Rudatsikira (Kampala, Uganda/Georgetown Prep [Md.]), a biochemistry and molecular biology major
- Sophomore Connor Tiffin (Elkridge, Md./McDonogh School), a finance major
- Sophomore Reese Velishka (Stamford, Conn./Greenwich Country Day Schoool), a finance major
Rudatsikira is earning his second straight honor.
To be nominated for the Academic All-America program, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore with a 3.5 or higher cumulative grade-point average and be a starter or significant reserve. Up to four eligible student-athletes per institution can be selected to the all-district team.
