FOR THE FOES
• Luke Whalen led the Red Devils with two goals and three assists.
THE REST OF THE STORY
• Dickinson raced out to a 4-0 lead in the game's first 5:13 behind goals from four different players to force an early timeout. Preston Boyd opened the scoring just 62 seconds into the game Mac Childs scored 54 seconds later to double the advantage. Luke Whelan scored from distance before Tommy Baldini snagged a ball out of the air to avoid a potential turnover and scored to cap the early run.
• Ben Monroe and Boyd stretched the lead to 6-0 in the first 2:35 of the second quarter before
Declan Mack (Wynnewood, Pa./Lower Marion) scored a tough-angle goal to break up the shutout with 11:33 on the clock.
Ethan Kessler (Ridgefield, Conn./Millbrook School) wrapped around the cage and fired one home to make it 6-2 with 10:06 showing.
Jackson Barroll found
Jackson Hearn on the doorstep to make it 6-3 at the intermission.
• Caleb Oliver and Childs sandwiched a Hearn goal – all three unassisted – to make it 8-4 with 8:25 remaining in the third quarter. Just over four minutes later,
Charlie Johnson (Wilton, Conn./Wilton) whistled home a Barroll pass to return the margin to three.

• Landen Hyatt scored from the wing in the opening 34 seconds of the fourth quarter to make it a 9-6 game. Another Barroll-to-Hearn connection just over a minute later pulled the visitors back within two. Barroll then dotted the corner from distance 44 seconds later off a Johnson pass to close the deficit to 9-8. Whalen, though, dodged through the defense and finished to push the lead back to two with 10:52 to play. Just over three minutes later, Drew Stark opened the lead back up to three, firing one home from distance but Kessler needed just shy of a minute to make it 11-9. Childs and Barroll traded goals just over a minute apart to keep it a two-goal game with 3:59 remaining. Out of a timeout, Kessler broke free and found the back of the net to close Gettysburg within 12-11 with 1:52 to play. Barroll came out from behind the cage and tip-toed the crease before finishing the game-tying goal with nine seconds remaining.
