LANCASTER, Pa. – Two members of the Gettysburg women's tennis team have been named to the All-Centennial Conference (CC) team, released on Thursday.
Gabby Mazzeo (Bethel, Conn./Bethel) and
Arina Zheliaskova (Saint Petersburg, Russian Federation/Gymnasium 540) were named first-team doubles while Mazzeo was tabbed second-team singles and Zheliaskova was honorable mention singles.
Mazzeo, a freshman, and Zheliaskova, a sophomore, earned their first all-conference doubles honor. They combined to post an 11-2 record at No. 1 doubles, including a 5-2 record in conference matches.
Mazzeo also earned her first all-conference singles nod. She posted a 10-8 mark on the season, going 6-7 at No. 1 singles and 4-1 at No. 2 singles.
Zheliaskova also claimed her first all-conference singles honor. She went 8-6 on the year, including 5-3 at No. 2 singles and 3-3 at No. 1 singles.
Claire Carroccio (Newtown Square, Pa./Villa Maria Academy) was Gettysburg's representative on the All-Sportsmanship Team.
The Bullets finished the season with an overall record of 9-10 (2-6 CC).
