The Bucur File: Will help lead the defense as one of the unit’s most experienced players…Will look to return to his starting position of defensive tackle.

2010: Started all 10 games at defensive tackle…Finished as the Bullets’ sixth-leading tackler with 54 hits (29 solo)…Also had 4.0 tackles for loss, including 1.0 sack…Made a career-high 14 tackles in a triple-overtime loss at McDaniel…Also had 10 stops in a win at Dickinson…Recorded 2.0 tackles for loss and his sack against Ursinus.

2009: Played in and started eight games for the Bullets…Played his first five contests at defensive tackle before moving to end…Finished with 18 tackles, including 3.5 for loss and one sack…Made a career-high five tackles against Dickinson…Recorded a sack at Hampden-Sydney. 

2008: Saw action in all 10 games at defensive tackle…Finished with seven tackles, including three solo stops…Made a season-high four tackles, including his first career sack, in the season finale win over Franklin & Marshall. 

High School: A two-sport standout in football and basketball at Pope John XXIII H.S…Played defensive end and tight end in football and small forward in basketball…Named all-conference and all-county in both sports…Was also an all-district selection and a team captain in football…Also named team MVP of his basketball team. 

Personal: Born Oct. 8, 1989…Son of Bogdan and Elisabeta Bucur…A political science major and business minor.
