Team tri-captain...A 12-time Centennial Conference medalist...One of the top mid-freestylers in the Centennial Conference... A member of three different school-record relay teams.
2010-11: Posted Gettysburg’s second-best times in the 200-freestyle (1:43.34), the 500-freestyle (4:52.62), and the 1,000-freestyle (10:31.34)...Was the third-fastest Bullet in the 100-freestyle (47.52)…Posted 11 individual victories throughout the season, including the 500-freestyle at the Franklin & Marshall Invitational…Picked up five medals at the Centennial Conference Championship...Swam on the winning 400-freestyle (3:05.99) and 800-freestyle (6:54.09) relays that set school, pool, conference, and meet records...Also earned a silver in the 200-medley relay, which set a school record (1:35.70), and the 200-freestyle (1:43.34).
2009-10: Placed in the top three in 25 different dual meet events, winning 11…Was the Centennial Conference gold medalist in the 200-freestyle, silver medalist in the 800-freestyle relay, and bronze medalist in the 400-freestyle relay and 400-medley relay…Also placed 10th in the 100-freestyle, fourth in the 200-freestyle, and eighth in the 500-freestyle…Helped the 200-medley relay team set a school record, with a time of 1:36.95…Had the team’s fastest time in the 500-freestyle, and the second fastest in the 200-freestyle.
2008-09: Placed in the top three in 22 dual meet events, winning 13…Won the Centennial Conference bronze medal in the 200-freestyle, 200-medley relay (school record time of 1:36.95), and 800-freestyle relay…Also finished 4th in the 200- and 400-freestyle relays, seventh in the 100-freestyle, and eighth in the 50-freestyle…Had the team’s fastest time in the 50-, 100-, and 200-freestyle.
High School: Participated in swimming, baseball, basketball, soccer, and water polo, over the course of his high school career at the Haverford School…Earned All-America recognition in the 200-medley relay…Served as a team captain.
Family Connections: Younger sister, Cassie ’13, is also a member of the Bullet swimming team, and older sister, Demery ’09, swam for Gettysburg from 2005-09...Cousin, Trip ’08, and mother, Kim ’79 are also Gettysburg graduates.
