The Mutunga File: One of the top returning tailbacks in the Centennial Conference…Extremely fast and durable player…Enters the season ranked eighth on the school’s career rushing list. 

2009: Started all 10 games at tailback…Named First Team All-Centennial Conference…Finished second in the conference and 38th in Division III with 1,015 yards rushing…Rushed for 14 touchdowns – one shy of the school record…Had five 100-yard rushing games, including a career-high 149-yard performance in a win at Moravian…Tied a school record with five touchdown runs to go with 129 yards in a victory over Juniata…Named Centennial Conference and ECAC Offensive Player of the Week after that game...Also named CC Offensive POW after the Moravian game...Gained 131 yards at Johns Hopkins, 117 at Hampden-Sydney, and 103 at Franklin & Marshall. 

2008: Named second team All-Centennial Conference…Led the team and finished fifth in the conference in rushing with 800 yards (80.0 ypg)…Rushed for seven touchdowns and caught one TD pass…Ran for a career-high 144 yards and two touchdowns in a 54-21 win over Franklin & Marshall..Had a career-long 85-yard touchdown run in that game…Also posted 100-yard rushing games against Hampden-Sydney (114), Johns Hopkins (119), and Dickinson (117). 

2007: Played in nine games for the season…Returned seven kickoffs for 113 yards, third among the Bullets…Had a season-high 45 yards on three kick returns at Franklin & Marshall…Saw his first action at tailback at Franklin & Marshall, coming off the bench to rush for 114 yards and two touchdowns on 21 carries…Peeled off a 69-yard run on his first collegiate carry in that game. 

High School: Competed in football and track & field at Bel Air High School…Earned all-conference, all-county, and all-metro honors in both football and track…Set school records for career rushing yards and single-season touchdown runs…Named all-state in football…Served as president of Bel Air’s Student Government and vice president of the school’s National Honor Society…Was a National Football Hall of Fame Scholar-Athlete nominee.
