WEEKEND ROAD TRIPS: Carthage spent the opening weekend of the season with a road trip to the Chicagoland area. For the second weekend, the road trip is much longer with a trip to Central PA. After tonight's game here, the Firebirds wrap up at Messiah on Saturday night. After this weekend, Carthage does not leave Wisconsin until Oct. 5. They start a five-game homestand in Kenosha next Saturday afternoon that stretches through the opening of CCIW play against Millikin on Sept. 28.
NOT VERY CROWDED AT THE TOP: The Firebirds scored four goals over their first two games. Three of those four tallies came from Aidan Crowder, including the final two markers against Concordia Chicago. Those two goals came just 1 minute, 48 seconds apart.
