The DeSalva File: Quick tailback who saw significant action last season…Could also be counted on for special teams duties, including kick returning. 

2009: Played in all 10 games…Saw increased playing time at tailback late in the season…Rushed for a career-high 144 yards in a win over Juniata… Also ran for 76 yards in a victory at Moravian...Scored rushing touchdowns against Lebanon Valley and Dickinson…Also returned 12 kickoffs for 226 yards, including a career-long 55-yarder against Dickinson…Added eight tackles on special teams. 

2008: Played in all 10 games on special teams…Made seven tackles, including six solo stops…Also ran the ball three times for two yards. 

2007: Played in all 11 games for the Bullets as a member of the special teams unit and as a backup tailback…Finished with 16 yards on 10 carries…Scored his first collegiate touchdown on a 1-yard run against Dickinson…Tallied 15 yards on five carries at Moravian…Totaled six tackles, with three coming at Johns Hopkins. 

High School: Played football and lacrosse at Joel Barlow High School…Was a fullback, outside linebacker, and kick returner on the gridiron for head coach Rob Tynan…Was a defensive midfielder for the lacrosse team…Named all-conference and all-state in both sports…Set the school’s single-game rushing record with 266 yards. 

Personal: Born Dec. 2, 1988...Son of John and Jill DeSalva...An accomplished musician who has composed piano music since 1999...Was accepted into Gettysburg’s Sunderman Conservatory of Music…An English with writing concentration major and a studio art minor.
