The Coffey File: Quick defensive end who moved into the starting lineup as a junior last season…Will be counted on as one of the leaders of the defensive unit. 

2009: Started all 10 games at defensive end…Was second on the team with 3.5 sacks…Finished with 26 tackles, including 4.5 for loss…Named Centennial Conference Defensive Player of the Week after posting five tackles, including 3.0 for loss and 2.0 sacks, and a forced fumble in a win over Muhlenberg…Made a career-high seven stops against McDaniel…Also dealt five hits and a half sack in a victory at Moravian…Recorded a sack in a win over Juniata. 

2008: Saw action in the final two games of the year, playing against McDaniel and Franklin & Marshall. 2007: Played in two games for the Bullets as a freshman, appearing against Hampden-Sydney and Moravian. 

High School: Competed as a three-sport athlete at Mainland Regional H.S. as a member of the football, swimming, and track & field teams…Was a defensive end and fullback on the football team, which was coached by his father, Bob…Named all-conference, all-county, and all-district in football while serving as a team captain…Was a teammate of Bullet sophomore Kyle Davis. 

Personal: Father was a running back at Clemson University from 1973-77…Son of Bob and Donna Coffey...Born Jan. 11, 1989…An English major.
