Biography

A 12-time All-American...Heading into the 2014-15 season, owns six school records: 50-freestyle (20.15), 100-freestyle (44.54), 200-freestyle relay (1:21.07), 400-freestyle relay (2:59.70), 800-freestyle relay (6:42.03), and 200-medley relay (1:32.54)....Also holds Centennial Conference records in the 200-freestyle relay, 400-freestyle relay, and 800-freestyle relay.

2013-14: Earned First-Team All-America honors in four of the five events in which he competed at the NCAA Division III Championships, leading the Bullets to a 16th-place finish in the team standings...Captured first-team certificates by capturing the bronze in both the 50-freestyle, placing fourth in the 100-freestyle (44.54), and swimming the leadoff leg of both the 200-freestyle relay (1:21.07) and 400-freestyle relay (2:59.70) that placed fourth…Reset his own school record in the 50-freestyle (20.15) with his leadoff split in the 200-freestyle relay…Helped both relays set school and Centennial Conference records…Also came in 18th in the 200-freestyle…At the Centennial Conference Championships, accumulated seven medals, including golds in the 100-freestyle, 200-freestyle, 200-freestyle relay, 400-freestyle relay, 800-freestyle relay, and 200-medley relay…Helped all three freestyle relays and the 200-medley relay team set Franklin & Marshall pool records while the 400- and 800-freestyle squads also broke Centennial Conference meet records…Also took the silver in the 50-freestyle…Registered a personal season-best time of 1:39.84 in the 100-freestyle.

2012-13: Helped the Bullets finish 15th at the NCAA Division III Championships, where he claimed All-America honors in five events…Claimed First-Team All-America recognition in the 400-freestyle relay (sixth) and Honorable Mention recognition in the 100-freestyle (ninth), 200-freestyle relay (10th), 50-freestyle (11th), and 800-freestyle relay (13th)...Set school records in the 50-freestyle, 100-freestyle, the 400-freestyle relay, and the 800-freestyle relay at NCAAs, where he also set Centennial Conference records in the 50-free, 400-free relay, and 800-free relay...Centennial Conference champion in the 100- and 200-freestyle as well as the 400- and 800-freestyle relays...Also earned silver medals in the 50-freestyle and 400-medley relay at the conference meet…Finished with school record of 20.28 in the 50-freestyle and 44.67 in the 100-freestyle...Swam to personal season-best time of 1:39.91 in the 200-freestyle.

2011-12: Was a major part of Gettysburg’s 14th-place finish at the NCAA Division III Championships…Earned All-America accolades in three relays and was a part of four school-record setting relays at the national meet…Captured First-Team All-America recognition by helping both the 200- and 400-freestyle relays finish seventh while setting school and Centennial Conference records (1:21.91, 3:01.55).…Also swam on the 800-freestyle that took 11th at NCAAs to register All-America Honorable Mention while setting an additional school and conference record (6:45.64)…At the Centennial Championships, captured golds  in the 200-freestyle relay, 400-freestyle relay, and 800-freestyle relay; silvers in the 100-freestyle and 200-medley relay; and a bronze in the 50-freestyle…Helped the 200-medley relay set a school record (1:32.54)…Finished with personal season-best times of 20.89 in the 50-freestyle, 46.12 in the 100-freestyle, and 1:41.88 in the 200-freestyle.

High School: Broke school records in the 100-freestyle and 200-freestyle at New Canaan H.S….Also helped set school records in the 200 free relay and the 400 free relay…Went undefeated in the 100-freestyle during his senior year and won the state title...Named all-state and all-county for head coach Jason Paige…A three-sport athlete who also competed in football and lacrosse.
