SWARTHMORE, Pa. – Junior Joe Brody (Bethesda, Md./Walter Johnson) dished out a career-high six assists, with four coming in the team's game-opening 7-1 run, as the sixth-ranked Bullets cruised to a 16-5 Centennial Conference victory over the host Garnet Saturday afternoon.

With the victory, Gettysburg (10-3, 6-1 CC) pushed its winning streak to eight, but with Haverford's 13-12 overtime victory over McDaniel, clinched second place in the Centennial Conference. Swarthmore (6-6, 3-4 CC) lost for the first time in three games.

Brody also scored one goal to finish with a career-high seven points. His six assists were the most by a Bullet since Brian Pryor had six against Susquehanna in 2005.

Tyler Bradshaw paced the Garnet with three goals.

Swarthmore led for a 7:17 stretch early in the game after Bradshaw scored 1:13 into the contest to make it 1-0. But O'Donnell tied it up with 6:30 left in the first quarter before Ryan put the Bullets on top for good 2:15 later. Ryan's goal was the first of three straight that were assisted by Brody. Seniors Drew Duckworth (Rye, N.Y./Hotchkiss School) and Rob Triplett (McLean, Va./McLean) followed up with back-to-back tallies before O'Donnell struck unassisted to make it a 5-1 game with 1:33 on the clock. Brody then found Ryan again to give the visitors a 6-1 advantage after 15 minutes of play.

Senior long-stick midfielder Tommy Kehoe (Coraopolis, Pa./Sewickley Academy) got into the scoring act just 16 seconds into the second quarter with his second goal of the season to make it seven unanswered for Gettysburg. Their 7-1 lead remained until Bradshaw found the back of the net again, this time with 7:37 left in the opening half. But sophomore Chris Cahill (Nashville, Tenn./Montgomery Bell Academy) and Pucci answered with a pair of goals to push Gettysburg's lead to seven before Stelios Wilson scored with three ticks showing to make it a 9-3 game at the half.

Brody scored his lone goal 3:55 into the second half, kicking off a 3-0 Bullet run. Ensuing goals from Pucci and Reichert gave Gettysburg a 12-3 cushion after three periods of play.

Max Hubbard cut the gap to eight for the Garnet when he scored 31 seconds into the fourth quarter. But the Bullets put the game out of reach with a 4-0 run, getting tallies from Reichert and Collura sandwiched around back-to-back goals from Pucci. Bradshaw set the final score with 1:32 left.
