Box Score GETTYSBURG, Pa. – Gettysburg outscored Gustavus Adolphus College 4-0 in the first half and the Bullets earned their first victory of the season, downing the Gusties 7-0 in their second and final match of the Gettysburg Cup Saturday afternoon at Clark Field.

Lauren Schapiro (Stamford, Conn./Stamford) gave their Orange and Blue their first goal of the season in the 11th minute, taking a feed from Phillips and beating the goalie inside the right post. Three minutes later, classmate
Melissa Seidner (Hamilton, N.J./Peddie School) headed home a cross from senior
Mary Kamovitch (Fairfield, Conn./Fairfield Ludlowe), making it 2-0.

Though it piled up 22 shots in the opening half, Gettysburg was unable to increase its lead until the final minutes of the period, when Baltz scored twice inside the last 2:17. She took a cross from freshman
Krissy Bradley (Fairfield, Conn./Fairfield Ludlowe) before booting home a shot into the right side of the net, then scored from nearly the same spot on the right wing after accepting a cross from Phillips with 23 ticks showing.

A trio of freshmen completed the scoring in the second half, posting their first collegiate goals.
Maddie Heaney (Allendale, N.J./Northern Highlands Regional) struck in the 58th minute, taking a cross from classmate
Jessica Cuttone (Mahwah, N.J./Mahway) and heading it home. Jordan Stefancci (Upper Saddle River, N.J./Immaculate Heart Academy) blasted in a deep shot over the keeper in the 69th minute before
Nicole Crofton (West Islip, N.Y./West Islip) headed in a rebound five minutes later to set the final score.

Paige Della Badia (Scotch Plains, N.J./Scotch Plains-Fanwood) played the second stanza and finished with one save.

In the second match of the day and the final match of the tournament, Carnegie Mellon University defeated defending national champion and No. 1-ranked William Smith College 2-1 to snap the Herons' 24-match winning streak.
The Bullets return to action on Wednesday, when they visit Shenandoah University at 7 p.m. in a non-conference affair.
