Mike Harmon (Shippensburg, Pa./home-schooled) was the lone Bullet to compete on Day Three of the NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championship on Friday at the Conroe ISD Natatorium, and he placed 18th in prelims of the 100-backstroke.

Harmon finished with a time of 50.10, just a tenth of a second shy of his own school record he set one night earlier swimming the leadoff leg in finals of the 400-medley relay.

With 79 points, Gettysburg is in 12th place in the team standings heading into the fourth and final day of competition. The Bullets will compete in three events on Saturday, starting with prelims at 11 a.m. EST. Seniors
Ashton Leyens (Fort Washington, Pa./Upper Dublin) and
Jason Potter (New Canaan, Conn./New Canaan) will swim in the 100-freestyle before Harmon will take to the water for the 200-backstroke. The three will also team up with freshman
Tyler Dougherty (West Chester, Pa./Salesianum School [Del.]) in the 400-freestyle relay.
