Box Score CHESTER, Pa. – Gettysburg rallied from an early three-goal deficit and the 10th-ranked Bullets defeated host Widener University 11-8 in non-conference men's lacrosse action Wednesday evening.
Eight different players scored a goal for Gettysburg (4-2), which outshot the Pride 44-26.

Jameson Smith (Glen Ridge, N.J./Glen Ridge) led the balanced offensive effort with two goals and two assists, junior
Ivan Morris (Houston, Texas/Houston Christian) added two goals and one assist, and senior
Mike Distler (Lutherville, Md./Loyola Blakefield) contributed a pair of goals.

Chris Palladino (Basking Ridge, N.J./Ridge) paced the defense with five ground balls and three caused turnovers while sophomore defenseman
Cullen Minion (Garden City, N.Y./Garden City) also picked up five ground balls. Sophomore goalie
Tim Brady (Charlotte, N.C./Providence) started and played the opening 31:34 and allowed six goals before senior
Jake Adoni (Fort Washington, Pa./Germantown Academy) worked the final 28:26, yielding just two goals while making three saves.
Kyle Gratz led Widener (1-5) with two goals and two assists while Matt Horton made 16 saves. Anthony Paone won 16 of 23 face-offs for the Pride.
Distler scored just over a minute into the game to put the Bullets up 1-0 before Widener answered with four unanswered goals over the remainder of the first quarter, opening up a 4-1 lead after 15 minutes of play.
The Bullets responded with a 5-1 run in the second quarter to reclaim the lead heading into the half. Senior
Paul Werner (Westfield, N.J./Seton Hall Prep) and Distler each scored inside the first three minutes of the quarter to make it 4-3 before Smith tied it with 7:48 on the clock. Tim Taylor scored with 4:22 showing to put Widener up 5-4, but that's when Morris struck twice over a 1:20 span to give his team a 6-5 halftime lead. Gettysburg would not trail the rest of the way.
Dan McMenamin pulled the Pride even when he scored 48 seconds into the third quarter, but Gettysburg would outscore Widener 4-1 over the remainder of the period to open up some breathing room. Smith and freshman
Mike Risser (Chester Springs, Pa./Downingtown East) went back-to-back to make it 8-6, and after another Taylor goal, junior
Reed Barbe (Greenwich, Conn./Suffield Academy) and freshman
Andrew Garstka (Springfield, Va./Paul VI Catholic) scored inside the last four minutes to put the Bullets on top 10-7 heading into the fourth quarter. Garstka's goal was the first of his collegiate career.
Gratz scored 37 seconds into the final period to make it a two-goal game, but the Bullets would blank the Pride the rest of the way, when Adoni made all three of his saves. Freshman
Blake Gray (Reisterstown, Md./McDonogh School) set the final score when he scored with 8:33 left.
Gettysburg plays its Centennial Conference opener on Saturday, when it visits Haverford College at 1 p.m.
