ST. DAVIDS, Pa. – Sophomore
Blake Gray (Reisterstown, Md./McDonogh School) posted a career-high seven points on five goals and two assists and the 10th-ranked Bullets used a big second half to register a 13-6 victory at Eastern University in non-conference men's lacrosse action Saturday afternoon.

The Bullets (3-3) led just 4-3 at the half before blowing the game open with a 7-0 run over the opening 17:32 of the second half. Gettysburg took major advantage of its extra-man opportunities during the stretch, scoring five times on four EMOs.

Gray scored all of his career-high-tying five goals in the second stanza, three of which came in man-up situations. Senior
Sean Fumai (Weston, Conn./Weston) and sophomore
Jack Harvey (New Providence, N.J./New Providence) added two goals and one assist apiece while sophomore
Tommy Heller (Livingston, N.J./Livingston) also scored twice. Freshman
Brian Kolen (Bridgewater, N.J./Bridgewater-Raritan) contributed three assists.

The Bullets also registered an outstanding showing on face-offs, finishing 17-for-22 at the X. Freshman
Connor Hunt (Duxbury, Mass./Duxbury) went 10-for-12 with seven ground balls while junior
Connor Sweeney (Great Falls, Va./Potomac School) finished 7-for-10 with five ground balls.

Tim Brady (Charlotte, N.C./Providence) turned aside 10 shots for the Bullets while sophomore defensive midfielder
Ryan Kelly (Ridgewood, N.J./Ridgewood) and posted three ground balls and two caused turnovers.

Jameal Hadeed stopped 15 shots for Eastern (2-4).
In a game played in extremely cold conditions, the Bullets never trailed after jumping to an early 2-0 lead, with Heller and Fumai scoring once apiece. The Eagles came back to score twice over the final 6:08 of the quarter, sandwiching a pair of goals around another Heller tally to make it a 3-2 game heading into the second stanza.

Neither side scored again until sophomore
Ian Harrington (Chadds Ford, Pa./Salisbury School) struck for the Bullets with 5:45 on the first-half clock. But Eastern answered with 1:44 showing to make it a one-goal game at the break.

Gray came alive at the start of the second half, scoring three of the team's first four goals – including two EMOs – as Gettysburg pushed its lead to 8-3. Harvey also drained a man-up goal during the run.

Late in the quarter, Eastern was whistled for a two-minute non-releasable cross-checking penalty and the Bullets cashed in twice. Sophomore
Andrew Garstka (Springfield, Va./Paul VI Catholic) converted with 11 seconds left to make it 9-3 at the end of the period before Fumai netted the team's fifth and final man-up goal with 14:05 left in the contest. Harvey added his second goal a minute and a half later, capping the decisive run and giving the Bullets an 11-3 advantage.

Eastern used a 3-0 spurt to make it 11-6 with 5:54 remaining, but Gray settled any doubt with a pair of goals 14 seconds apart to set the final score with 1:27 left.

Gettysburg finished with advantages in both shots (35-25) and ground balls (30-16).

The Bullets pick up their schedule on Wednesday, when they face Roanoke College in a neutral-site game played at 7 p.m. at St. Anne's Belfield School in Charlottesville, Va.
