CARLISLE, Pa. – Sophomore
Skylar Frankiewicz (Concord, Mass./Concord Carlisle) tied a personal best with a 75 to take top honors at the Dickinson College Red Devil All-American Classic held at the Carlisle Barracks Course on Saturday.
Frankiewicz shot a three-over 75 on the par-72, 5,511-yard course. She claimed the top spot by four strokes in a field of 30 players. It was her second consecutive title this season and the fifth overall of her career. Frankiewicz finished three strokes shy of the program record and tied her personal low set at the NCAA Division III Championship last spring.
As a team, Gettysburg was edged by a stroke for the team title by Dickinson. The Red Devils finished with a total score of 339, while the Bullets came in at 340.
Sophomore
Hannah Fireman (Ambler, Pa./Hatboro-Horsham) posted her third career round in the 70s and finished three strokes short of a career low with a 79 to finish runner-up. The score was also a season-best for the second-year player.
Sophomore
Erin Schroeder (Madison, Conn./Daniel Hand) carded a 92 for 17th. Junior
Gillian Marini (Moorestown, N.J./Moorestown) shot a 94 to tie for 19th and freshman
Lindsay Waller (Perry, Mich./Perry) carded a 116 to finish 28th.
Gettysburg is hosting an invitational Sunday at the Conestoga Country Club in Lancaster, Pa., Sunday at 12:10 p.m.
