GETTYSBURG, Pa. – For the third consecutive season, Gettysburg College and Dickinson College will do battle in the Centennial Conference Championship as the two rivals meet in the semifinals at Shirk Field at Musselman Stadium Wednesday at 4 p.m.
Wednesday's semifinal is a rematch of the 2018 CC Championship game at Gettysburg (13-3, 7-1 CC), won by Dickinson (11-5, 5-3 CC) 9-8. The Bullets extracted revenge for that setback with an 11-8 win over the Red Devils at Musselman Stadium earlier this season. The two teams also met in the semis on Gettysburg's home turf in 2017 with the Orange and Blue standing tall 13-6.

The other conference semifinal will feature No. 14 Ursinus College (11-3, 5-3 CC) at No. 13 Franklin & Marshall College (12-4, 7-1 CC). The Diplomats earned the tournament's top seed by virtue of a 13-8 win over Gettysburg March 27.
The two semifinal winners will square off at the highest remaining seed's venue on Saturday. If it's Gettysburg or Dickinson, game time will be 1 p.m. If Franklin & Marshall beats Ursinus, game time will be 7 p.m. at Shadek Stadium.
Gettysburg has claimed 10 of the 18 Centennial Tournament titles with its last coming in 2016. Dickinson owns four championships, including last season, while Franklin & Marshall captured its only crown in 2017. Ursinus has never won the league championship.
The Bullets' only losses aside from F&M have come against the current No. 2 and No. 3 teams in the country. Gettysburg enters the postseason on a six-game winning streak. The offense ranks third in the CC with 13.6 goals per game, while the defense carries a league-low goals against average of 9.21.
The well-balanced attack features six players with 30 or more points, including four with 20 or more goals. Junior
Brian Kolen (Bridgewater, N.J./Bridgewater-Raritan) leads the team and ranks fourth in the conference with 55 goals, while sophomore
Jack Fletcher (Charlotte, N.C./Providence Day School) and junior
Michael McCormick (Lorton, Va./Paul VI Catholic) rank fourth and fifth (tied) in the conference in assists with 31 and 28, respectively. McCormick also ranks second on the team in goals (31) and points (59).
Freshman goalie
Scott MacMillan (Berwyn, Pa./Conestoga) has posted a conference-best GAA of 9.22 and has saved 52.6 percent of the shots he has faced this season. All-American defenseman
Mitch Wykoff (Fairfield, Conn./Fairfield Ludlowe) has racked up 78 ground balls and 19 caused turnovers, while also bursting out of the backfield for seven goals. Sophomore
Andrew Horn (Bronxville, N.Y./Avon Old Farms) leads the Bullets with 23 caused turnovers to go with 51 ground balls.
Gettysburg also leads the conference in clear percentage (.880) and ranks second in face-off percentage (.569). The Bullets' face-off rate trails only the 2014 team's mark of 59.3 percent over the last 11 years. Freshman
Joe Persche (Summit, N.J./Summit) has taken most of the face-offs over the last three games and has won 63.7 percent of his attempts this season.
Head Coach
Hank Janczyk has led Gettysburg to the CC playoffs every year since 2001. He has led the team to a total of 19 conference titles with 15 coming in in the Centennial. Janczyk is 421-121 in 32 seasons at the helm and he ranks second among all NCAA coaches with 466 wins over 37 seasons as a coach.
