Centennial Conference Championship Information
GETTYSBURG, Pa. – The Gettysburg College men's track and field team will compete at the Centennial Conference (CC) Outdoor Championships at Muhlenberg College on Sunday.
This will be the first time the Bullets have competed in a conference championship since the indoor season back in March 2020.
Several Bullets find themselves ranked in or near scoring positions heading into the meet. Athletes must finish among the top-eight to accumulate points.
Junior
Henry Goodson (Staunton, Va./Robert E. Lee) and the 4x100-meter relay team members of freshman
Arthur Keegan (Haddonfield, N.J./Haddonfield Memorial), sophomore
Caden Giordano (Bethlehem, Pa./Bethlehem Catholic), junior
Corey Palazzolo (Colts Neck, N.J./Christian Brothers Academy), and senior
Colin Motill (Ridgefield, Conn./Ridgefield) enter the meet as Gettysburg's top-ranked athletes. Goodson is the top seed in the 10,000-meter run (37:52.35) and the 4x100-meter relay team is seeded third (44.42).
Senior
Nick Grissinger (Palmyra, Pa./Milton Hershey) is also in position to claim a medal at the conference championship as he is seeded fourth in the 400-meter hurdles (56.93). He captured the 400-meter hurdles title at the 2019 CC Outdoor Championship.
Others who could be in line to pick up points include:
- Palazzolo in the high jump (fifth, 6'0.75") and triple jump (seventh, 39'7.75").
- Keegan in the 100-meter dash (fifth, 11.42).
- Junior Will Hopkins (Raleigh, N.C./Needham B. Broughton) in the 800-meter run (sixth, 1:57.61).
- Grissinger in the pole vault (sixth, 12' 0").
- Junior Angus Brouillard (Watertown, Mass./Watertown) in the 400-meter dash (sixth, 52.34).
- The 4x400-meter relay team of sophomore Eric Liedtka (Hamilton, N.J./Notre Dame), senior Christian Rodriguez (Lancaster, Pa./McCaskey), Brouillard, and Grissinger (sixth, 3:31.88).
- Liedtka in the 110-meter hurdles (eighth, 16.91).
- Keegan in the 200-meter dash (eighth, 23.47).
- Junior Matt Weller (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) in the high jump (eighth, 5'7").
- Giordano in the triple jump (eighth, 39' 3").
On Sunday, the meet will start at 11:30 a.m. in Allentown, Pa. with the javelin, long jump, high jump, and the 10,000-meter run.
