THE LEADERS
Shinya Lee (Rochester, N.Y./Holderness Prep School) had a season-high and team-high seven blocks, to go with 10 rebounds as the defensive leader. She also chipped in 12 points.
Alayna Arnolie (Vienna, Va./James Madison) led the Bullets in scoring with 15 points.

FOR THE FOES
• Michaela O'Neil was the only player in double digits for the Blue Jays, with 10 points and four rebounds.

THE REST OF THE STORY
• Gettysburg and Johns Hopkins played to several ties in the first quarter, with Emily Violante (Easton, Pa./Easton Area) lending two free throws only 23 seconds into the game to get the Bullets on the board. Greta Miller hit a layup less than 10 seconds later to tie it up at two apiece. Michaela O'Neil hit another layup for the Blue Jays a minute later to give them a one-possession lead, and the score remained there for the next two minutes of the half. Mackenzie Szlosek (Holtsville, N.Y./Sachem East) finally broke the deadlock at 6:36 remaining with a layup, which tied the score again 4-4. Two more layups from Gettysburg by Lee and Cynthia Williams (North Brunswick, N.J./Hill School) gave them a four-point advantage, but Kristin Ralston cut it to two only five seconds later on a fast break. Another layup by Ralston tied the game up again with four minutes left to play in the first quarter. Gettysburg got their first big edge with 46 seconds left, after a Priore layup, AB Holsinger (Crozet, Va./Langley) turn around, and a Kylie Holcomb (Enola, Pa./Cumberland Valley) 3-pointer capped off a 7-1 run for the Bullets. Holsinger hit one more layup to end the quarter, 17-9 in favor of the Bullets.
• In the second quarter, neither team was able to find the net until 90 seconds in, as Greta Miller made a layup to make it a three-possession game once again. Two more minutes went by with several turnovers by each team, but no scoring, before Macie Feldman broke through with 6:34 left to play. She hit a layup to bring the Blue Jays within four at 17-13, and started a 4-0 scoring run that brought the game to a tie again at 17-all with just over four minutes left to play. Olivia Parisi hit a layup for the Blue Jays to give them their first lead of the game, but Priore quickly tied it again with a field goal of her own. With seven seconds left in the half, Jadyn Murray made a jumper to give the Blue Jays the edge, 21-19 going into halftime.
• Johns Hopkins was able to increase their lead by a few points in the beginning of the third quarter, with Michaela O'Neill knocking down a 3-pointer to offset two free throws by Arnolie, giving the Blue Jays a 24-21 lead. Layups by Lee and Arnolie put the Bullets back in the lead for a moment, before Natalie Mann hit another three for the Blue Jays to put them up by two, 27-25. Violante was sent to the line with 7:46 left in the quarter, and she made both of her shots to tie the game once more at 27-all. The Blue Jays built a lead again, going 9-4 off baskets from four different shooters to bring the score to 36-31. Arnolie hit a jumper and a triple within less than a minute of each other to result in yet another tie, before Holsinger was fouled with just over two minutes left in the half. She knocked down both of her shots to give the Bullets the narrow 38-36 edge, before Kendall Durham closed out the half with two jumpers in the final minute to send the Blue Jays into the final quarter up 40-38.
• In the last quarter, it was Gettysburg who capitalized early, with three different shooters creating a 6-0 run in the first two minutes. Miller hit a layup for the Blue Jays to cut the Bullets' lead to two, before a Priore free throw and Holcomb 3-pointer increased the Gettysburg edge back out to six. It was a lead they wouldn't relinquish, going 10-2 over the next five minutes to push out to 58-44 over the Blue Jays. Holsinger knocked down her final free throws of the game to give Gettysburg a 16-point lead, 60-44. Parisi hit two free throws and Dunham made a layup to give the Blue Jays three more points in the game, but a layup and free thrown by Szlosek sealed it up for the Bullets, giving them a 63-48 win over the Blue Jays.
