Gettysburg scored the first six points of overtime to help defeat Washington (Md.), 62-57.
THE LEADERS

Mackenzie Szlosek (Holtsville, N.Y./Sachem East) led the Bullets with her fourth double-double of the season, recording 14 points and 13 rebounds. She also had four assists.
FOR THE FOES
• Joy Sanders led the Shorewomen with 23 points and nine rebounds.
THE REST OF THE STORY
• The first quarter was back-and-forth with eight lead changes. Gettysburg led by as many as three in the period at 8-5 on a Caitlin Priore (Holland, Pa./Germantown Academy) second-chance layup with 7:18 showing. Washington held a two-point advantage twice.

Kylie Holcomb (Enola, Pa./Cumberland Valley) hit a 3-pointer on the opening possession of the second quarter to give the Bullets a 15-13 lead. Six more ties over the next four minutes put Gettysburg back in front 22-21, sparking a 12-3 run that pushed the lead as high as 32-24 with 1:19 to play. Szlosek had five points during the stretch and was one of four different players to score. Washington scored the final four points of the half to close to within 32-28 at the break.
• Two Joy Sanders free throws and a Lizzie Hudock layup in the first minute of the third period drew the game even. Priore canned a triple from the top of the arc with 7:55 to put the hosts back in front and the defense limited the Shorewomen to just four points over the final 9:11 of the period to take a 40-36 lead into the final period.
• An Andrea Prestianne 3-pointer trimmed the margin to one but
AB Holsinger (Crozet, Va./Langley) answer with a triple of her own. The teams traded points over the next five minutes before a Karry Kelliher 3-pointer tied the game at 49-all with 3:31 showing. A single Priore free throw and
Emily Violante (Easton, Pa./Easton Area) 3-pointer put the Bullets back in front by four with 2:01 remaining. A Sanders jumper made it a two-point game. Kaitlyn Boggs then scored on a turnaround at the block with 17.4 seconds left, tying the game for the final time and ultimately forcing overtime.
• A
Shinya Lee (Rochester, N.Y./Holderness Prep School) putback 1:23 into the extra session, started a 6-0 burst over the next 79 seconds and Washington got no closer than four the rest of the way.
THE INSIDE STORY
• Gettysburg ran its current winning streak to five straight games, including avenging two of its early season conference losses in the last two games.
• The Bullets shot just 8 of 20 from the free-throw line but was 10 of 29 from 3-point range.

Shinya Lee and Caitlin Priore combined for nine of the team's 11 blocked shots.

Alayna Arnolie and
Kylie Holcomb added 11 points each.
