Gettysburg methodically extended the second half lead to ultimately defeat Haverford, 63-48.
THE LEADERS

Jordan Stafford (Galloway, N.J./Saint Joseph Hammonton) matched his season high with 16 points to lead the Bullets. He also added eight rebounds and two blocked shots.

Carl Schaller (Garnet Valley, Pa./Garnet Valley) contributed 14 points on the night.

Antonello Baggi (Cremona, Italy/West Deptford [N.J.]) added 10 points.
FOR THE FOES
• Harry Johnson led three players in double figures for the Fords with 12 points. He also had six rebounds.
THE REST OF THE STORY
• Gettysburg jumped out to a 5-0 lead and extended the lead to as large as 12-5 before seven minutes had elapsed in the contest. Trailing 17-10 with 11:54 remaining, Haverford reeled off nine straight points to take its first lead of the game. A single
Carl Schaller free throw made it a one-point game and
Jordan Stafford halted the nearly five-minute drought from the floor with a layup to put the hosts back in front. The Fords regained the lead, taking a 23-20 advantage with 5:45 to play. A
Nate Williams (Morganville, N.J./St. John Vianney) putback with 3:45 sparked a 9-2 burst to close the half, giving the Bullets a 29-25 edge at intermission.
• After Schaller made it a 31-25 game, Haverford countered with six straight, including four from Jackson Ryan to tie the game at 31-all. An
Antonello Baggi triple put Gettysburg back in front with 16:31 remaining and the Bullets did not trail the rest of the way. The lead welled to 39-32 on an
Elijah Williams (Washington, D.C./Sidwell Friends) three-point play with 13:55 on the clock. A Nicholas Stewart 3-pointer trimmed the deficit to 43-40 just over four minutes later but Baggie immediately responded with a kick-out second-chance 3-pointer. Clinging to a 51-46 lead, a Stafford layup with 5:36 to play sparked a 12-1 run to clinch the double-digit victory.
THE INSIDE STORY

Elijah Williams led the way on the glass with a career-best 14 rebounds for Gettysburg. The Bullets finished with a 46-36 rebounding advantage overall.
