Gettysburg College Athletics

Today's Centennial Conference (CC) game marks the 24th all-time meeting between Gettysburg (6-5-1, 4-2 CC) and Washington (Md.) (5-4-3, 2-3-1 CC) in a series that dates back to 1999. The Bullets lead the all-time series 21-1-1. The lone Shorewomen win came by a 3-2 margin on Sept. 15, 2019. The teams tied 1-1 last season.

WHEN LAST WE MET: A goal from Washington in the first half and one from Gettysburg in the second led to a 1-all draw last season in Chestertown. Jalia Musah scored the Bullets' only goal of the game. Maddy Gaydon found the back of the net for the Shorewomen. (Full Recap) (Box Score)

LAST TIME OUT: Messiah, ranked fifth, tallied twice in each half to defeat Gettysburg 4-0 on Wednesday night. Alex Jurow established a career high with eight saves that included numerous diving stops. Kaitlyn Laird opened the scoring for the Falcons, who got goals from four different players on the evening. TOP-RANKED SCHEDULE: Gettysburg, which debuted at No. 8 in the United Soccer Coaches Region V poll on Tuesday, wrapped up a two-game stretch in less than a week against the top two teams in the regional poll and two of the top seven teams in the national poll after playing Johns Hopkins on Saturday and Messiah on Wednesday. The Bullets have played six teams this season that are in the current regional polls.

LAST TIME OUT: Washington could never get the attack going on the road, falling 2-0 at McDaniel on Wednesday. The Green Terror struck first in the 27th minute and added a second tally in the 58th minute. (Full Recap) (Box Score)

GOOSE EGGS: The Shorewomen have not played a game since Sept. 23 in which both teams have found the back of the net. Since that 2-1 win over DeSales, Washington has played five goals. The Shorewomen have been shut out four times while recording three shutouts of their own. The stretch started with a pair of scoreless deadlocks. For the season, Washington is seventh in the CC in scoring and sixth in goals-against average.
