THE SKINNY STORY
After a 1-all tie at the end of the first half, Swarthmore scored two goals in the third period to win the Centennial Conference competition 3-1.
THE LEADERS

Bella Bonazinga (Spring Lake, N.J./Wall) scored Gettysburg's lone goal of the game in the second quarter.
FOR THE FOES
• Katherine Kohn had two of Swarthmore's three tallies.
THE REST OF THE STORY
• Sophia Hitchingham started the scoring for Swarthmore in the fifth minute, beating Gettysburg's goalie to a loose ball and burying it for the first goal of the game. Gettysburg had two good shots in the first period, but both were saved.
• Just 2:47 into the second quarter,
Brinsley Rushe (Darien, Conn./Darien) got a pass from the right side to Bonazinga, who tied the score with her goal. Swarthmore took two shots that were saved by
Emilia Saccento (Scotch Plains, N.J./Scotch Plains-Fanwood) to keep the score deadlocked going into the break.
• Katherine Kohn broke up the tie in the Garnet's favor in the 33rd minute with a shot through the wickets. Just five minutes later, she added another tally to give the hosts the insurance goal. Gettysburg would not get a shot off the rest of the way.
THE INSIDE STORY
• Saccento made seven saves in goal.
• Swarthmore outshot Gettysburg 16-6 and had a 6-5 advantage in corners.
