THE SKINNY STORY
After a back-and-forth first half, Gettysburg took the lead out of several ties in the second and never trailed in the final five minutes for a 78-70 victory over Stevenson.

THE LEADERS
Carl Schaller (Garnet Valley, Pa./Garnet Valley) notched a double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds.
Nate Williams (Morganville, N.J./St. John Vianney) tallied 15 points on 5 of 11 field goal shooting and 3 of 4 from the line. He also grabbed eight rebounds and four steals.
Jordan Stafford (Galloway, N.J./Saint Joseph Hammonton) was the final Bullet in double digits with 12 points and five rebounds.

FOR THE FOES
• Nate Arrington and Cameron Smith each put up 15 points to lead the Mustangs.

THE REST OF THE STORY
• A closely-matched first half of play yielded six ties and ten lead changes. Cameron Smith and Rassoul Abakar (Cameroon/Notre Dame Fairfield [Conn.]) traded layups to get things started and they traded free throws to produce the first tied score of the game. Stevenson put up a 3-pointer and a jumper to take the lead, but Nate Williams, Jordan Stafford, and Carl Schaller all found the net over the next minute to move the needle back in the Bullets' favor. The lead continued to switch back and forth and Max Pernetti (Oakland, N.J./Ramapo) scored five point straight to notch Gettysburg's largest lead of the half, 14-11. Stevenson responded with a 12-4 run over the next five minutes to regain the lead, 23-18 with 7:45 showing in the first stanza. The teams went almost point-for-point in the remaining minutes, with Gettysburg narrowly outscoring Stevenson 17-14 for a Mustangs' one-possession lead, 37-35, going into the break.
• Williams drove in for a layup just 1:04 into the second half to tie the score again and kick off a 5-2 run for a 42-39 Gettysburg lead. The Bullets made the lead as big as seven points off two Schaller buckets and an Abakar jumper. However, Stevenson answered almost immediately with a 7-2 run to close within a single possession with 14:25 left to play. No points were scored for the next two minutes before McKeon (Landenberg, Pa./Sanford [Del.]) laid one in and Stevenson made two field goals to tie the score again, 53-all. A Nate Arrington and-one play brought the Mustangs within one point, but five points by Stafford gave the Bullets more breathing room, 62-57. With 7:32 remaining on the clock, Ronald Ayers and Smith connected for Stevenson tie the game 62-all. An 8-4 Gettysburg run was bookended by baskets by Williams to give Gettysburg the 70-67 advantage with just 2:48 left to play, forcing a Stevenson timeout. Out of the break, Stafford hit two straight baskets over the next 45 seconds to increase Gettysburg's lead to 75-67. In the final 30 seconds of play, the teams traded free throws and Nate Arrington laid down a dunk for Stevenson to set the final 78-70 margin.
