Gettysburg scored 12 runs in the second inning to key a 23-4 win over Albright.

Mark Seibert (Yardley, Pa./Holy Ghost Prep) led the Bullets with a 2-for-2 day with three runs scored and an RBI.

• Reece Adam went 3-for-4 to lead the Lions.
THE REST OF THE STORY
• After a scoreless first inning in which both pitchers worked out of trouble,
James Weedon (New Hyde Park, N.Y./Chaminade) pitched a 1-2-3 top of the second.
Preston Toothman (Orlando, Fla./William R. Boone) then skied a popup that fell on the left side of the infield to lead off the home second and open the floodgates.
Mabret Levant (Lakeville, Pa./Wallenpaupack Area) poked a ball that got through the left side to put runners at the corners then an error on a sacrifice scored the first run and kept runners at the corners. Two more singles and an RBI groundout made it 5-0 before a
Kyle Miller (Montclair, N.J./Montclair) double to right and
Matthew Peipher (Lititz, Pa./Manheim Twp.) single up the middle made it 7-0 and forced a pitching change. Two hit batters, a single, sacrifice fly, walk and Jake Pistner (Ellicott City, Md./Centennial) bases-loaded triple made it 12-0 after two innings.
• Triples from Peipher and
Mark Seibert keyed a five-run third that made it a 17-0 game.
• Three walks, an error and
Kody Clausius (Landenberg, Pa./Avon Grove) tacked on three more runs in the fifth and stretched the advantage to 20-0.
• Albright strung together three straight pinch-hit singles and a bases-loaded walk to plate four runs in the sixth inning and break up the shutout.
• A
Matt Nichols (White Plains, N.Y./Byram Hills) triple and
Emmanuel Ajewole (Floral Park, N.Y./Stony Brook School) RBI groundout made it 21-4 in the home half of the inning.

Andrew Donlan (Haddam, Conn./Avon Old Farm) had a two-run single in the eighth to plate a pair of unearned runs for the final margin.
THE INSIDE STORY
• Gettysburg had a program record-tying five triples in the game, including two by Jake Pistner.
•
James Weedon struck out eight and allowed just one hit in three innings of work to pick up the victory. In total, the Bullets pitching staff fanned 17 Lions.

David Preziuso (Middletown, Del./Caravel Academy), Pistner,
Kyle Miller, and
Matthew Peipher all joined
Mark Seibert with two hits. Pistner also had four RBIs while Preziuso scored three runs.
