Trevor Wall hit a trey just under two minutes later, before Williams rattled off four more points to put the Bullets up, 6-3. Baskets by three different Bears put the lead in their favor, and a jumper by
Carl Schaller and 3-pointer by Nick Nocito made it 12-8, Ursinus. Nocito's trey kicked off a 15-7 run that widened Ursinus' lead to 12, with 5:27 showing in the half. The Bullets countered with a 6-4 run, fueled by four different shooters, to cut the deficit down to eight. In the final two minutes of the half, Williams knocked down a 3-pointer to narrow Ursinus' lead to 31-26 going into the locker room.
• Cole Grubbs got Ursinus on the board first in the second half of play, with a jumper only 27 seconds in. McKeon hit two at the line to bring the lead back down to five, and a Schaller jumper and trey within 30 minutes made it a three-point game with 18:04 left to play. Grubbs and
Akim Joseph (Port Au Prince, Haiti/Notre Dame Fairfield [Conn.]) traded baskets before a 3-pointer by Ryan Hughes and a jumper by Mohamed Toure brought the Bears' lead back to eight.
Elijah Williams countered with a jumper that kicked off a 11-5 run by the Bullets, capped by a Schaller trey, to make it a 49-48 game. Schaller, McKeon, and Williams contributed within the stretch. Nick Nocito answered with his own three, but Schaller made a bucket to stop the Bears from getting any further. With 7:58 remaining,
Nate Williams (Morganville, N.J./St. John Vianney) knocked down a 3-pointer to give the Bullets their first lead of the half. The teams traded baskets and the lead, until Joseph knocked down a fastbreak three with 5:23 remaining, to put the Bullets up by four (58-54). An and-one play by Hughes drew the Bears within one, but a 7-5 run by the Bullets made it a two-point game with 3:19 left to play. The stretch included buckets by Williams, McKeon, and
Jordan Stafford (Galloway, N.J./Saint Joseph Hammonton). A jumper and trey by Schaller made it a 68-65 game, and two free throws by Hughes again made it a one-point game with only 1:10 left to play. In the final 25 seconds, Schaller made a jumper in the paint, and
