THE SKINNY STORY
Gettysburg used two four-run innings to forge a 10-1 win over Northwestern in the first game of the doubleheader, but in the second game Northwestern scored in every inning but one for the two-game split.

THE LEADERS
Kyle Miller (Montclair, N.J./Montclair) hit a combined three of four at the plate, with one double, two runs and three RBIs.
Connor Sikora (Easton, Pa./Easton Area) earned the win in the first game for the Bullets, pitching five innings with four strikeouts.
Jack Pistner (Ellicott City, Md./Centennial) hit .500 on the day, with two singles and one triple. He also scored two runs.

FOR THE FOES
• Bryce Crabb pulled double-duty, pitching and hitting in the second game. On the day, he tallied four hits, including one double, scored two runs, and tallied one RBI. At pitcher, he threw seven innings with nine strikeouts.

THE REST OF THE STORY
• In the first game, Gettysburg got the scoring started in the bottom of the first. Jack Pistner tripled to the back of the centerfield fence, and a Kyle Miller single brought him in. Northwestern tied the game in the next inning though, with two singles and a double to make it 1-all.
• A Preston Toothman (Orlando, Fla./William R. Boone) single and JR McCloskey (Huntingdon Station, N.Y./Chaminade) double scored Gettysburg's second run in the bottom of the 2nd, and in the bottom of the fourth David Preziuso (Middletown, Del./Caravel Academy) was walked and stole two bases to land on third. Pistner was walked right after to put runners at the corners, and a single by Miller and double by Matthew Peipher (Lititz, Pa./Manheim Twp.) scored two more runs. Aaron Kirby (Sandy Hook, Conn./St. Joseph) capped off the inning with a triple to score one more run in the bottom of the fourth, yielding a 6-1 Bullets lead.
• The last of the Bullets' runs in the first game came in the bottom of the sixth. Three walks loaded the bases, and a hit by pitch and wild pitch brought in two runs for an 8-1 lead. To cap off the first game, Mabret Levant (Lakeville, Pa./Wallenpaupack Area) doubled to bring in the final two Bullets' runs and give them the 10-1 first game win.
• In game two, it was the Eagles who started off the scoring, converting on two Bullets' errors in the bottom of the first to tack on a run. It would be until the bottom of the third until they scored again, with a double and a single earning two more runs for a 3-0 lead. In the bottom of the fourth, Northwestern made it 5-0 with three singles.
• Gettysburg broke through their scoring drought in the fifth inning, with a single by Brian Andersen (Chester, N.J./West Morris Mendham) and Miller sacrifice fly scoring one run. Northwestern responded quickly however, tacking on six more in the next three innings for an 11-1 lead.
• In the top of the eighth, singles by Zachary Klein (Downington, Pa./West Chester Henderson), Mark Seibert (Yardley, Pa./Holy Ghost Prep), Andrew Donlan (Haddam, Conn./Avon Old Farms), and Brendan Laqui (Randolph, N.J./Randolph) earned the Bullets four more runs to cut the deficit to six. It wasn't enough, however, as Northwestern added four more in the bottom of the eighth to win the second game, 14-5.

THE INSIDE STORY
• In the first game, Gettysburg out-hit Northwestern 10-7. In the second, Northwestern held the hitting advantage, 15-10.
• Northwestern had nine extra-base hits, while Gettysburg had eight across both games.
