Gettysburg College Athletics

Tonight's non-conference match marks the sixth all-time meeting between Gettysburg (11-3) and Penn State-Altoona (4-7) in a series that dates back to 2004. The Bullets have won all five previous meetings.

WHEN LAST WE MET: After Gettysburg won the first set, Penn State Altoona claimed the second two, before the Bullets won the final set 16-14 for a 3-2 victory last season. Brooke Lauletta notched a double-double with 10 kills and 12 digs. Izzy Lugar added nine kills and four digs. Lacee Barnhart registered a double-double with 20 kills and 21 digs. LAST TIME OUT: Gettysburg and SUNY Brockport played a close first set, which the Bullets claimed 25-23 to vault to a 3-0 win and cap a 3-0 weekend at the Messiah Invitational. Alycen Radolovic and Kylie Ulrich put down nine kills each. Jordan Thompson and Leah Vitiello had seven kills each for the Golden Eagles. (Full Recap) (Box Score)

CENTURY CLUB: Kylie Ulrich has already reached the 100-kill mark before the end of September. The senior has put down 103 kills over her first 13 matches of the season. Catherine Holtz is trailing right behind her and closing on becoming the second Bullet to hit triple digs with 92 already this season. 

ISN'T IT GRAND?: Senior Chelsea O'Leary became the 22nd player in program history to reach 1,000 digs for her career. With 233 so far this season, she has 1,079 for her career and ranks and now ranks 18th all-time. She is averaging just over five digs per set this season.

LAST TIME OUT: Penn State Altoona snapped its three-match skid on Friday, sweeping Penn College 3-0 in Adler Arena. Penn State Altoona nabbed its second home victory of the season by scores of 25-12, 25-13, and 25-12. The Lions' Lia Simanski totaled a match-high 12 kills while chipping in eight digs. DOUBLE YOUR PLEASURE: Lia Simanski is averaging a double-double this season. The rookie has 121 kills and 110 digs in the first 11 matches of her collegiate career. She has recorded seven or more kills in nine of the first 11 matches and posted a season-best 20 in a 3-2 win at Wilkes on Sept. 20. Defensively, she has six outings with double-digit digs.
