THE REST OF THE STORY
• Gettysburg jumped out to a 10-2 lead in the game's first 3:25. Akim Joseph (Port-au-Prince, Haiti/Notre Dame Fairfield [Conn.]) scored his team's first six on a pair of 3-pointers. The Bullets hit eight of their first 10 baskets to build an 18-4 lead and force a second McDaniel timeout just 6:32 into the game. Lorin Hall capped a 9-4 burst that closed the deficit to 22-13 with 9:21 remaining but a Jordan Stafford old-fashioned three-point play and a Antonello Baggi (Cremonia, Italy/West Deptford [N.J.]) 3-pointer off an inbounds play pushed the lead back out to 15 just two minutes later. The Green Terror clawed back to within 30-21 but the Bullets closed the half on a 10-4
run to take a 40-25 lead into the break.
• After McDaniel pulled within 45-35 three minutes into the second half, a Nate Williams (Morganville, N.J./St. John Vianney) three-point play sparked a run of seven straight points in just 75 seconds to open up a 52-35 lead with 15:00 showing. Leading 55-42, Williams hit a pair of pull-ups on consecutive possessions to spark a 15-3 run that extended the lead to 25 with 6:37 to play and sealed the victory.
