THE SKINNY STORY
On a night where no Gettysburg player needed to play more than 28 minutes and only one scored in double digits, a hot shooting night and stifling defense carried the Bullets to an 80-50 win over Haverford.
THE LEADERS

Akim Joseph (Port-au-Prince, Haiti/Notre Dame Fairfield [Conn.]) led the Bullets with 18 points – 11 of which came in a six-minute stretch of the second half. He also had three rebounds, two assists and two blocked shots.

Ryan McKeon (Landenberg, Pa./Sanford [Del.]) staked Gettysburg to a 6-0 lead in the game's first 3:13. Haverford, however, countered with a 12-2 run that put the visitors in front by four with 10:50 to play in the opening half. However, a

Akim Joseph free throws on back-to-back retied the game with 9:44 showing and sparked a 12-0 run that turned the game in the Bullets' favor. A Nick Klaiber free throw with 6:26 remaining snapped a 4-minute, 24-second drought and the Fords connected on just two field goals through the remainder of the half while four different Gettysburg players hit field goals to stretch the advantage to 31-17 at halftime.
• Eight different players contributed to a 32-13 first 10 minutes of the second half, that included 14 of the stanza's first 17 tallies. The Bullets hit eight of their first nine shots in the half, 10 of 12 and 11 of 14.
Shane Scott (Berwyn, Pa./Conestoga) capped the stretch with a 3-pointer for his first points of the season that made it a 63-30 game with exactly 10 minutes remaining. The lead remained between 26 and 33 points for the final 11:09 of the game.

• Gettysburg shot 55.6 percent for the game, including finishing the second half shooting 63 percent. The Bullets connected on 12 of 25 3-pointers (48 percent), including hitting 9 of 14 (64.3 percent) in the second half.
