Gettysburg College Athletics

Tonight's Centennial Conference (CC) game marks the 92nd all-time meeting between Gettysburg (4-5-5, 1-4-2 CC) and Franklin & Marshall (7-1-7, 5-1-1 CC) in a series that dates back to 1930. The Diplomats lead the all-time series 47-37-7 and have won 14 of the last 16 meetings. The only Bullet victory during that stretch snapped a 13-game losing streak on Oct. 9, 2021.

WHEN LAST WE MET: A lone goal in the 61st minute proved the difference to lift Franklin & Marshall to a 1-0 win over Gettysburg last season. Kevin Muhic led the Bullets with five saves in goal. Jack Baer had the lone tally for the Diplomats. (Full Recap) (Box Score)

LAST TIME OUT: In a game in which both teams had opportunities, McDaniel found the back of the net in the 77th minute for a 1-0 win at Gettysburg on Wednesday. Aidan Muller had the two best looks for the Bullets but was stonewalled on a pair of free-kick attempts just outside the box. Mike Mevo had the lone goal for the Green Terror. THANK YOU, SENIORS!: Today is Senior Day for a nine-member Gettysburg senior class. The group of field players have combined for 42 goals and 109 points. Leandro Ribeiro has joined Fritz Reiter, Nur Adhikarie, Colton Ward, Chase Sempervive, Aidan Muller, Eugene Park, Aidan Gaynor and Max Baer to win 31 games with 16 ties and went to the conference tournament twice and NCAA tournament in 2021. 

WHAT'S THE SCENARIO?: Gettysburg enters the final two conference games needing a win in both contests to have a chance at a return trip to the Centennial Conference tournament. The Bullets currently have seven points while McDaniel sits in the sixth and final spot with 10 points. Franklin & Marshall and Johns Hopkins sit atop the standings with 16 points each and have clinched berths.

LAST TIME OUT: ­­No. 23 Franklin & Marshall ended a back-and-forth battle with No. 6 Dickinson in a 2-all tie on Wednesday. The Red Devils led twice in the contest, but the Diplomats always had a response as both teams scored once in each half. (Full Recap) (Box Score)

30-SOMETHING: Franklin & Marshall is one of four Centennial Conference teams to have scored 30 or more goals this season. However, in conference play the Diplomats have a conference-best 17 tallies over their seven games. F&M is the only team averaging more than two goals a game at 2.43. Koa Kaliebe leads the team with seven goals this season, including four in CC play.
