LAST TIME OUT: Gettysburg captured a pair of two-point wins in the first two sets before capping a sweep of Stockton with a 25-18 third-set victory on Saturday. Kendall Erpenbeck led the Bullets with 13 assists and a season-high 12 digs. The setter also had one kill. POLLING NUMBERS: Gettysburg was picked to finished tied for third in the annual preseason Centennial Conference poll. The Bullets garnered 81 points, including one first-place tally. Johns Hopkins was the unanimous favorite to repeat as champions for the eighth straight year. Franklin & Marshall was chosen second (84 points) and Swarthmore finished tied with Gettysburg for third.
BALANCING ACT: Saturday's 3-0 win over Stockton was the first time this season that no Gettysburg player reached double-digit kills. However, five hitters had between six and eight knockdowns on the day to lead a balanced attack. Erin Gonzalez, Catherine Holtz and Alycen Radolovic all had eight while Mary Huegel and Clare Farrell had six each. Gonzalez added 10 digs while Huegel had both of the team's aces and three blocks. It was the first time since Sept. 4 against Stevenson that Radolovic did not have at least 10 kills in a match. She has recorded eight or more in 14 of the team's 15 matches and 10 or more in 12 matches.
