THE SKINNY STORY
Salisbury built a six-point lead late in regulation but eighth-ranked Gettysburg scored the final six points to force overtime but the Sea Gulls tallied the first six of the extra session and never trailed for an 84-78 win.

THE LEADERS
Carl Schaller (Garnet Valley, Pa./Garnet Valley) led four Bullets in double figures with 21 points.
Nate Williams (Morganville, N.J./St. John Vianney) chipped in 19 points, 10 rebounds and five assists that included hitting 11 of 12 free throws.

FOR THE FOES
• Jordan Oates led the Sea Gulls with 24 points and 14 rebounds.
• Kendrick Frink added 22 points.

THE REST OF THE STORY
Nate Williams hit a 3-pointer on Gettysburg's first possession and scored the Bullets' first five points. Trailing 5-2, Jordan Oates hit a triple of his own then drove and hit for a 7-5 Salisbury advantage. The first nine minutes featured four ties and five leads until five points from Kendrick Frink keyed a 7-0 run to open up a 20-15 advantage for the Sea Gulls with 10:36 to play. Salisbury did not trail the rest of the half, leading by as many as six en route to a 35-32 halftime advantage.
• An Aidan Mess (Brookeville, Md./Mt. St. Joseph) 3-pointer from the wing closed the deficit to 37-36 just 1:33 into the second half but Daniel Oyediran responded with a trey of his own to push the lead back to four. Gettysburg closed to within one three more times until Williams drained a 3-pointer to give the hosts a 50-48 edge with 14:24 showing. Two Oyediran free throws tied the game 25 seconds later. The game was then also tied at 52-all, 54-all and 56-all. After a Carl Schaller jumper gave the Bullets a 58-56 lead, Brendan Davis hit a 3-pointer to put Salisbury back in front with 5:38 to play. That lead grew to 67-61 with 3:28 to play. Trailing 69-63, Schaller drove all the way to the bucket on the break to cut the margin to four with 1:15 remaining. Two Williams free throws with 32 seconds left made it a two-point game before the Sea Gulls missed the front end of a 1-and-1. Out of a timeout, Jordan Stafford (Galloway, N.J./St. Joseph Hammonton) drove the lane to tie the game with 18.1 seconds left and the defense got a stop to force overtime.
• Frink drove to the rack on the first possession then Oates canned a three-pointer for a 74-69 led before a minute had elapsed. A single Davis free throw extended the advantage to six before Schaller cut the deficit in half with a 3-pointer. A Mess hook shot with 1:53 to play made it a 75-74 game. A Frink three-point play on the other end stretched the lead back to four and the Sea Gulls were able to keep Gettysburg at arms' length the rest of the way.
