THE SKINNY STORY
Gettysburg, ranked 24th in the latest D3hoops.com poll, turned an early 5-0 deficit to a seven-point advantage at the end of the first quarter and didn't trail the rest of the way to down Muhlenberg 67-53 and get the season sweep.

THE LEADERS
Alayna Arnolie (Vienna, Va./James Madison) led all scorers with 27 points, shooting 7 of 11 from outside the arc to tie the single-game 3-pointer record. She also shot 9 of 13 from field goal range.
AB Holsinger (Crozet, Va./Langley) finished just one assist shy of a double-double, with 10 points and nine assists. She also added three rebounds and one steal.

FOR THE FOES
• Emily Unger put up 13 points to lead the Mules' offense.

THE REST OF THE STORY
• Rachel Saxton scored the first points of the day on a fast break layup that kicked off a Muhlenberg 5-0 run. Back-to-back 3-pointers by Arnolie and Holsinger along with a Shinya Lee (Rochester, N.Y./Holderness Prep) layup tied the game 8-all. Two more Arnolie triples under a minute apart started a Gettysburg 12-3 run to close out the first quarter 20-13 in favor of the Bullets.
• Arnolie kicked off the second half with another 3-pointer to extend the lead to ten, but the Mules responded with a 2 minute, 23 second scoring run to cut the deficit back to just two possessions. Jumpers by Emily Violante (Easton, Pa./Easton) and Lee along with a Jameson Mott (Evergreen, Colo./Evergreen) 3-pointer reestablished a double-digit lead for Gettysburg, and it remained between eight and 13 points for the rest of the half for a 35-25 Bullets advantage at the break.
• Each team missed several shots before Lee hit the first basket of the second half to bump the Bullets back out to 12 points. The lead ballooned to 20 points twice on the back of shooting by Mott and Violante, and an Arnolie 3-pointer with 1:04 left in the third period gave Gettysburg their biggest advantage yet, 55-34. Avery McNulty hit a triple of her own to made it an 18-point game going into the final quarter.
• A pair at the line and another 3-pointer in the first three minutes of the final quarter reestablished the 21-point lead, and it stayed between 18 and 22 points until a McNulty triple with 4:27 to play. In the final two minutes, a McNulty triple and Abigail Scheidel layup surrounded a Skylar Reale (Warren, N.J./Morristown Beard) bucket for a 67-53 final.

THE INSIDE STORY
Jameson Mott finished with nine points while Shinya Lee had eight.
• With the win and a Johns Hopkins victory over Dickinson, the Bullets secured a first-round bye in the conference tournament.
• A Mackenzie Szlosek (Holtsville, N.Y./Satchem East) 3-pointer to end the third quarter was called back, causing the junior to be held scoreless for the first time in 55 games.
