Westfield State used a four-run fourth inning to defeat Gettysburg, 5-3.
THE LEADERS

Robert Murphy (Berkeley Heights, N.J./Governor Livingston) was the only Bullet with a multi-hit day, going 2-of-4 with one run scored.
FOR THE FOES
• John Bessette went 2-of-3 with two runs, one RBI, and one walk.
THE REST OF THE STORY
• Gettysburg scored first in the bottom of the second. After
Emmanuel Ajewole (Floral Park, N.Y./Stony Brook School) was walked, he advanced to third base on two wild pitches. A sacrifice bunt from
Brian Andersen (Chester, N.J./West Morris Mendham) brought in the first run of the game.
• Westfield State got the run back in the top of the third. After a single and double play put one on third, Bessette scored on a Bullets error to tie the game 1-all. The Owls tacked on four more in the top of the fourth. RBI singles by Sean Clark and Bessette plated the first two runs, and a two-RBI single by Samuel Palmer made it a 5-1 Westfield State advantage.
• Gettysburg scored the final two runs of the game in the bottom of the fifth. Andersen drew a walk and Murphy singled to left field to put two runners on. A double by
David Preziuso (Selbyville, Del./Caravel Academy) scored Andersen, and
Will Bercaw (Kennett Square, Pa./Pennington) laid down a sacrifice bunt to bring home Murphy.
THE INSIDE STORY
• Westfield State had the advantage in hits, 8-4.

Tristan Neels (San Diego, Calif./Francis W. Parker) was the other Bullet with an extra-base knock on the day.
