Gillian Rozenfeld (Haddonfield, N.J./Haddonfield Memorial) clinched the match for the Bullets with a 6-0, 6-0 sweep at fourth singles. She and partner
Sarah Guistwite (Carlisle, Pa./Wilson Hill Academy) also earned an 8-1 victory at second singles.
THE REST OF THE STORY
• The first doubles team of
Andrea Brazyte (Ronkonkoma, N.Y./Connetquot) and
Avery Palandjian (Lititz, Pa./Manheim Twp.) and third team of
Emma Ward (Falls Church, Va./Meridan) and
Ellie Brignati (Rockville Centre, N.Y./Sacred Heart Academy) added two more 8-1 victories to give Gettysburg the 3-0 lead.
• Palandjian won 6-1, 6-0 at third singles and was followed by Rozenfeld's match-clinching win at fourth singles. Brazyte beat her No. 1 singles opponent 6-1, 6-2.
• Guistwite took a 6-0, 6-2 match at No. 2 singles before
Eden Levkov (Summit, N.J./Summit) and Brignati finished out the match with 6-0, 6-0 sweeps of their opponents at fifth and sixth singles, respectively.
