GETTYSBURG, Pa. – Four members of the Gettysburg men's swimming team were named to the Division III Academic All-District men's swimming team, selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC) recently.
Academic All-District honorees are considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced on Apr. 24.
The following Bullets men's swimmers were honored as part of the program:
- Senior Charlie Cross (Charlottesville, Va./Albemarle), an environmental studies and public policy major
- Senior Luke McKenna (Collegeville, Pa./Spring-Ford), a biology major
- Senior Hunter Sundlun (Richmond, Va./St. Christopher's School), a business major
- Senior Conor Vienneau (Newburg, Md./LaPlata), a political science major
Cross, McKenna and Sundlun earned their second straight honor after also being selected as juniors.
To be nominated for the Academic All-America program, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore with a 3.5 or higher cumulative grade-point average and be a starter or significant reserve. Up to four eligible student-athletes per institution can be selected to the all-district team.
