THE SKINNY STORY
McDaniel jumped out to a 7-1 lead after two innings before staving off a comeback attempt from Gettysburg for a 12-6 win.
THE LEADERS

Jack Pistner (Ellicott City, Md./Centennial) led the Bullets with a 3-for-3 days, adding two RBIs, two walks and a run scored.
FOR THE FOES
• Shea McKenna paced the Green Terror with two hits and three RBIs.
THE REST OF THE STORY

David Preziuso (Shelbyville, Del./Caravel Academy) led off the game with a walk before an
Adam Hicks (Edgewater, Md./Gilman SchooL0 single put runners at the corners. After Hicks stole second, a
Jack Pistner infield single scored Preziuso for a 1-0 lead.
• Singles from Shane Daly and Ethan Haddock put runners at the corners in the bottom of the inning. After Haddock was thrown out trying to steal second, a Joey Hubinger sacrifice fly tied the game before a walk, Tyler Yohn double and Shea McKenna single made it a 2-1 game. An error and Luke Kelly double stretched the lead to 5-1.
• In the second, four straight walks and a double play stretched the lead to 7-1.
• A two-out Pistner two-run home run in the seventh made it 7-3 but McDaniel countered with a pair of runs in the bottom of the frame thanks in part to four free passes.

Matt Nichols (White Plains, N.Y./Byram Hills) and
Matthew Vivona (Fairfield, Conn./Fairfield Ludlowe) drew back-to-back walks to start the eighth before a
Kody Clausius (Landenberg, Pa./Avon Grove) pinch-hit three-run home run made it a 9-6 game. The Bullets reloaded the bases on a hit batter and two walks but Conor Henderson got two strikeouts to strand the tying runs on base.
• Three single s in the bottom of the inning, a Yohn sacrifice fly and McKenna two-run double pushed the lead back to six then Henderson worked around a two-out double for the save.
THE INSIDE STORY
•
Kody Clausius went 2-for-2 with the three-run home run off the bench.
•
Zach Klein (Downingtown, Pa./West Chester Henderson) struck out four batters in 4 2/3 innings of relief work on the mound.
