THE SKINNY STORY

THE LEADERS
•

FOR THE FOES

THE REST OF THE STORY
• Off a corner just 4:14 into the game, Gianna DeGregory fired a shot from the left wing that kicked off the goalie's pads and out to a waiting Hailey Miller on the opposite side of the circle and she was able to knock it back home for a 1-0 lead.
• In the early moments of the second quarter, Gettysburg began to take control of play and built momentum until
Jillian Somers was able to get free at the top of the circle and blast home the game-tying tally.
• The Bullets had countless chances in the second half, drawing nine penalty corners and getting off four shots while the Golden Wolves spent virtually no time in their offensive end. However, neither team was able to produce the game-winner until
Bella Bonazinga forced a diving stop by the Alvernia goalie and then collected the rebound, putting it in the top of the net for a season-opening win.
