THE SKINNY STORY
Gettysburg opened the season with a 7-0 home win over York (Pa.) before traveling to Lebanon Valley for a night match. The Bullets wrapped up a 2-0 day with a 5-2 win in the nightcap.

Avery Palandjian (Haddonfield, N.J./Haddonfield Memorial) led the Bullets with four wins on the day.

• Erika Badner and Katie Berra both won twice to lead the Flying Dutchmen.
THE REST OF THE STORY

Avery Palandjian led the way against York, winning twice without dropping a game. She and
Ellie Brignati (Rockville Center, N.Y./Sacred Heart Academy) combined for a 6-0 win at first singles to key a sweep of doubles that led to a 1-0 lead. Palandjian then won No. 2 singles, 6-0, 6-0.
• Four other Bullets also posted 2-0 days against the Spartans.
Sarah Guistwite (Carlisle, Pa./Wilson Hill Academy) and
Emma Ward (Falls Church, Va./George Mason) won 6-1 at No. 2 doubles while
Shoshi Dondes (Pikesville, Md./Beth Tifloh) and
Eden Levkov (Summit, N.J./Summit) were 6-3 winners at third doubles. Guistwite won 6-1, 6-0 at first singles. Levkov took third singles 6-3, 6-4 while Dondes was a 6-4, 6-2 winner at fifth singles. Ward won a third-set tiebreaker 10-4 to capture the only three-setter. Kenndy Conte won the opening set at fourth singles 6-4 before Ward took the second set 6-0 and forced the tiebreaker.
• The Bullets opened the match against Lebanon Valley by taking two of the three doubles matches or a 1-0 lead. Palandjian and Brignati once again combined in the top flight for a 6-0 win. Dondes and Levkov won third doubles, 6-4.
• Palandjian wrapped up her perfect day with a 6-3, 6-1 win at second singles.
• Guistwite and Ward both added a win in singles play. Guistwite was a 6-2, 6-4 winner at No. 1 while Ward won 6-2, 6-0 at No. 5.
Kate Alianiello (Fairfield, Conn./Fairfield Ludlowe) rounded out the Gettysburg winners with a 6-2, 6-1 victory in the sixth slot.
• Erika Badner and Katie Berra combined for a 7-5 win at No. 2 doubles. Badner was then a 6-1, 6-2 winner at third singles while Berra won 6-4, 6-2 at No. 4.
