Gettysburg College Athletics

Tonight's non-conference match marks the 27th all-time meeting between Gettysburg (12-1) and Catholic (6-6) in a series that dates back to 1980. The Bullets lead the all-time series 19-6-1 but the Cardinals won a 3-0 decision in Washington, DC last season.

WHEN LAST WE MET: Gettysburg played Catholic to three sets that were decided by just two points each but ultimately the Cardinals hit past the Bullets to earn the 3-0 victory. Erin Gonzalez notched her second double-double of the season, tallying 11 of both kills and digs. Olivia Blondin led all players in kills with 16 and tallied 12 digs. (Full Recap) (Box Score)

LAST TIME OUT: Gettysburg finished up a 3-0 weekend at the Messiah Invitational without dropping a set, capturing a 3-0 win over the host Falcons and a 3-0 win over SUNY Cortland. Alycen Radolovic led the Bullets with 23 kills on the day, recording 11 against Messiah and 12 against Cortland. Chayney Barnhart led the Falcons with nine kills. BRINGING THE BROOMS: Gettysburg has won its last four matches by a 3-0 score and eight of the Bullets' 12 wins have been by sweep this season. Gettysburg has started off well for the most part this season, winning the first set 11 times in 13 tries this season. One of the two times this season that the Bullets dropped the first set, they fell into an 0-2 hole before rallying to win the final three sets and defeat Wisconsin-Eau Claire 3-2 at the Battlefield Classic. Alycen Radolovic has led the attack so far this season, recording double-digit kills in 11 of the 13 matches. She leads the way on the year with 141. However, the Bullets have six other hitters with between 42 and 85 kills this season.

LAST TIME OUT: Catholic split a trimatch at Lebanon Valley on Saturday, defeating Rochester 3-2 before falling to the hosts, 3-1. (Full Recap) (Rochester Box Score) (Lebanon Valley Box Score)

BALANCING ACT: The Cardinals do not have a player who is yet to reach 100 kills through the first 12 matches of the season. Catholic has five players with 50 or more knockdowns, however. Tanya Sichling leads the way with 81 kills, including three double-digit performances. Grace Guerin has 73 kills on the year and has also eclipsed the double-digit mark three times. The only match that both hitters reached at least 10 knockdowns was a 3-1 home win over Stevenson.
