THE SKINNY STORY
Gettysburg, ranked 10th in the latest D3hoops.com poll, built an 11-point lead before watching Ursinus whittle that advantage to one but was able to score the game's final six points for a key 60-53 road win.
THE LEADERS
•
Alayna Arnolie (Vienna, Va./James Madison) led the Bullets as one of three players in double figures with 15 points and also added four steals.

Shinya Lee (Rochester, N.Y./Holderness Prep School) added 11 points and nine rebounds.

Emily Violante (Easton, Pa./Easton Area) chipped in 10 points and seven rebounds.
FOR THE FOES
• Chinwe Irondi led the Bears with 13 points and 13 rebounds.
• Madison Smith also added 13 points to go with six rebounds and four assists.

• Ursinus jumped out to a 7-2 lead in the game's first 1:32 behind a pair of baskets from Chinwe Irondi before
Jameson Mott (Evergreen, Colo./Evergreen) canned a 3-pointer from the wing and hit an elbow jumper to tie the game with 4:20 on the clock. The run extended to 9-0 before two Madison Smith free throws in the final 47 seconds made it an 11-9 game after one quarter.
• After Smith hit two more free throws just 17 seconds into the second period,
Shinya Lee finished in close to put Gettysburg back in front. Ava Possenti drained a 3-pointer at the other end for a one-point Bear advantage but back-to-back three-point plays from Lee and
Emily Violante ignited an 8-0 run to force a timeout with 6:58 to play. Four straight Ursinus points out of the stoppage closed the margin to 21-18. After
Alayna Arnolie and Irondi traded baskets, another Violante three-point play with 4:24 showing started a 9-2 burst that opened up a double-digit lead for the first time just over a minute later. The Bears, however, scored the final four of the half to close to within 32-26 at the break.
• Gettysburg scored the first five of the third period to open up an 11-point advantage just 49 seconds after the break but a deep Colleen Blackman 3-pointer and Irondi putback returned the deficit to six with 6:50 showing. The lead remained between five and nine points until two
Adeline Standish (Avon, Conn./Avon) free throws in the final 35 seconds made it a 45-38 game heading to the final period.
• Smith scored the first four points of the fourth quarter to pull the hosts within three with 7:06 showing. Blackman converted in transition to make it a 45-44 game but five straight points from
Ava O'Neil (Chevy Chase, Md./St. John's College) extended the lead back to six with 4:57 remaining. Trailing 54-46, Smith banked home a triple to make it a five-point game with 2:14 to play. Two Blackman free throws and a Madison Foder jumper trimmed the deficit to one but Arnolie had the answer to push the lead back to 56-53 in the final minute. Inbounding in the frontcourt with 24.7 seconds remaining, Violante drained both free throws with 23.2 to extend the lead back to five. After an offensive foul, Violante found Lee wide open under the basket for a 60-53 advantage with 18.4 ticks on the clock.
THE INSIDE STORY
• Ursinus finished with a 42-28 advantage on the glass but Gettysburg forced the Bears into 24 turnovers.
