Gettysburg scored twice in a two-minute stretch of the first half to key a 3-2 win over Ursinus.

Diallo Cowan (Stratford, Conn./Bunnell) scored two goals to lead the Bullets.

• Jack Schmidt scored a goal for the Bears in the 65th minute.
THE REST OF THE STORY
• Directly off a
James Blake (Chester Springs, Pa./Downingtown East) corner kick in the 22nd minute,
Cameron Linnington (Ridgewood, N.J./Ridgewood) headed home the game's first goal. Just 1:42 later,
Diallo Cowan sprinted to goal and finished for a 2-0 advantage. In the 36th minute, Teddy Polutta cut the deficit in half on a low-liner.
• Cowan then re-extended the lead to two with another runout in the 50th minute. On a free kick from the corner,
Matthew Lohr played a ball up to Jack Schmidt, who fired it home from the corner of the box. Ursinus then had a flurry of opportunities in the waning minutes but the defense stood strong.
THE INSIDE STORY
•
Sean Kennedy (Cinnaminson, N.J./Cinnaminson) officially made three saves on the night but thwarted countless Bear opportunities.
• Gettysburg had the advantage in shots 15-10 but Ursinus had a 12-3 advantage in corner kicks.
