LANCASTER, Pa. – Sean Kennedy (Cinnaminson, N.J./Cinnaminson), a senior on the Gettysburg men's soccer team, has been named Centennial Conference (CC) Defensive Player of the Week for the week of Sept. 29-Oct. 5.

It is the second time this season he has earned the weekly honor.

Kennedy led the Bullets (6-4-2, 1-1-2 CC) to a 1-0-1 week in conference play, posting a pair of shutouts in goal. He made eight saves in a scoreless draw against Dickinson on Wednesday before making five stops in a 1-0 win at Johns Hopkins on Saturday.

For the season, he has 50 saves, a 0.76 goals-against average and .847 save percentage with seven individual shutouts. His 4.17 saves per game and shutout total are tops in the conference while his save percentage ranks second.

Gettysburg returns to action at Franklin & Marshall on Saturday. Game time is 6 p.m.
