THE SKINNY STORY
Gettysburg rallied with seven of the last eight points of the first set to win that a key a sweep of Swarthmore in the first round of the 2025 Centennial Conference volleyball championship tournament.
THE LEADERS

Erin Gonzalez (Cincinnati, Ohio/Ursuline Academy) led the Bullets with nine kills and just one error to hit .308 on the night. She also had 16 digs and four aces.

Alycen Radolovic (Willoughby, Ohio/Beaumont School) paced the attack with 13 kills and hit .370.

• Isabel Adam led the Garnet with 14 kills and 13 digs.
THE REST OF THE STORY
• Holding a 5-4 edge, Madeline Mountcastle got a dump kill to fall to spark a quick 3-0 burst to open up an 8-4 lead. A
Mary Huegel (Marlboro, N.J./Colts Neck) kill followed by her own ace helped close to 9-8. A
Gianna Galli (Demarest, N.J./Northern Valley Demarest) kill knotted the set at 11-all. After four more ties, Isabel Adam put down back-to-back kills for a 17-15 lead. Trailing 22-18 on another Adam kill, a pair of
Erin Gonzalez knockdowns sparked a 7-1 close to the set.
Alycen Radolovic put away the 25-23 win with a kill.
• A Gonzalez ace capped a 3-0 start to the second set for Gettysburg. Swarthmore, however, countered with the next three to tie the set. A Huegel kill made it 6-4 and ignited a run of four straight points to build a 9-4 advantage. Another Gonzalez ace extended the lead to its largest point to that point at 17-12 before two Keira Miles kills closed the deficit to 17-14. Two
Nala Shearer (Lexington, Va./Rockbridge County) aces pushed the advantage to 20-14. After the teams traded points, the Garnet scored eight of the next 11 points to make it a 23-22 score. Gonzalez and Radolovic knocked down kills around one from Zindzhi Montgomery for the 25-23 final.

Kendall Erpenbeck (San Jose, Calif./Prospect) ace and kills from Galli and Radolovic helped open up a 4-0 lead to start the third set. A Gonzalez kill and ace helped make it 7-3 before Swarthmore reeled off five straight to take an 8-7 edge. The score was tied at every interval until an Erpenbeck ace and Radolovic power kill gave the Bullets a 15-13 lead. The advantage oscillated between one and two points until Huegel and
Emma Bradshaw (East Setauket, N.Y./Ward Melville) each knocked down a kill for a 19-16 lead to force a timeout. Huegel added another kill out of the stoppage to push the lead to four. The Garnet twice closed to within two but the Bullets scored the final three points, including the match winner on an Erpenbeck dump kill.
THE INSIDE STORY

Emma Bradshaw chipped in eight kills, eight digs and four blocks while
Mary Huegel had six kills and four blocks. Neither player had an attack error in the match.

Nala Shearer steadied the defense with 22 digs to go with two aces.
• For Gettysburg, it was just its second win over Swarthmore since 2014 and first 3-0 win since Oct. 5, 2013.
